Willy Guhl Conical Planters
A pair of unusual conical planters by Willy Guhl.
Swiss-born Willy Guhl started out as a cabinet maker and became a leading neo-functional designer. He's perhaps best known for being an early pioneer of flat pack; however, he also worked with materials such as concrete. These contemporary style planters date from the mid-twentieth century and are typical of his industrial style.
The planters are cement-based and stand on metal frames. We were delighted to find genuine Guhl planters in such great condition, with original paintwork. A truly iconic garden accessory.
Swiss, circa 1950.
Size: height 80cm, circumference 40cm.
