Vintage Metal Trug

A rare galvanised trug, dating from the 1930s.

Every garden needs a good trug or two, and this vintage metal trug is still really useful for collecting home grown vegetables and flowers. The word comes from the Anglo Saxon “trog” which means “boat shaped vessel”; and this vintage edition is far closer to its ancestors shape-wise than the modern, plastic version.

Basket style with a good strong handle, it would also look good as a small planter, or perhaps as a fuel holder for your chiminea.
