Wall Hanging Tribulum

Tribulus originated in the Neolithic and Copper Age where they were primarily used in agriculture to separate the wheat from the chaff. Pulled by horses these 19th-century versions in oak and laced with sharp flint were used for exactly the same purpose. We believe they are highly decorative with huge character and can be used as very interesting wall coverings both on the inside and out. This particular one is in good condition and treated with a wood preservative has been fitted with stainless steel wire to allow it to hang inside or out. Part of Violet Grey's collection of antique wall coverings & decorative items.
