Set of 18th Century Plant Pots

Price is for all the items

A very rare set of seven Directoire period cast iron urns from around 1790. Found in a garden in Northern France this sensational set is in completely untouched, original condition and displays a fantastic weathered patina.

The Directoire period was between 1790-1795 and after the French revolution when the authorities of the day encouraged artisnas to make items in a less elaborate way in contrast to the previous excesses. The result was a simpler design which looks contemporary today.

We are keen that this set should remain as a set as together they make a stunning display.
