Set of 3 Biot Jars

A Stunning Set of 3no 19th century biot jars.

"Biot" is a style of pottery which dates back to the 16th century, named for their town of origin, near Cannes in the south of France.

These storage jars are distinctive for their shape and for the drips of glaze tumbling down them, known as "mother-in-laws' tears". You could have stored a lot of flour or olives in this pair of authentic Biot jars, as they're 5' tall!

They would make a fantastic centrepiece, or you could place them either side of a doorway or staircase to create a dramatic display.
