Pair of 18th Century Biot Jars

A stunning pair of 18th century biot jars.

"Biot" is a style of pottery which dates back to the 16th century, named for their town of origin, near Cannes in the south of France.

These storage jars are distinctive for their shape and for the drips of glaze tumbling down them, known as "mother-in-laws' tears". You could have stored a lot of flour or olives in this pair of authentic Biot jars, as they're at least 3ft tall!

They would make a fantastic centrepiece inside the house or in the garden.
