A pair of 19th century bi-folding wooden shutters.
This striking pair of shutters is from a farmhouse in Provence. They are painted a gorgeous "church ceiling blue" colour which must have looked wonderful against the pale stone of the house. The original ironmongery adds a nice authentic detail.
However you choose to use them - and we can think of so many ideas! - these shutters will definitely make a stand-out feature.
French, 19th century.
