Conservatory Plant Stand

A lovely Arras plant stand from manufacturer Grassin Baledans. The term "Arras" refers to garden items produced in the French town between 1840 and 1914 from patented half-round hollow steel tubing. This turn of the century version originally featured in the manufacturers 1874 catalogue and could be as tall as 8 tiers high. This 4 tier version with hoof feet would have been used in an orangery or conservatory to construct a fantastic floral display.
