Rare 18th century Anduze Urn

A rare mid 18th century"Jarre d'Anduze" Urn made by the family business Gautier in and around 1760.

Anduze, a small village in the foothills of the Cevennes ranges, grew famous for its clay pots, urns and jars firstly by the family Gautier in the 18th century and then by the family Boisset in the 19th century.

A stunning example is in good condition with lovely a patina which still retains some of its original glaze.
