Rare Arras Florist Stand

Anyone who has visited Paris will be familiar with the small newspaper and florist kiosks dotted around the city. These were first commissioned by the feted urban planner Baron Haussman in mid 19th century, designed by architect Gabriel Davioud and manufactured in metal by Grassin Baledans SA in the City of Arras in Northern France.

As an addition, Grassin Baledans also produced street florists stands to increase the sales space beyond the small kiosks which had originally been designed just for newspapers. The one we have available is very rare( i doubt we will ever see another one) and is in original untouched condition. It has been designed so any floral display is at eye level and as can be seen from out photos will allow the owner to produce their own ever-changing designs throughout the seasons.
